Primary Care

Primary Care or Family Medicine specifically refers to doctors who treat children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. Naturopathic doctors have been trained rigorously in this role and can perform routine checkups, manage emerging health issues, recommend appropriate referrals and oversee the general medical care of individuals.

  • Primary care includes health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Primary care is performed and managed by a personal physician often collaborating with other health professionals, utilizing consultations or referrals as appropriate.
  • Primary care provides patient advocacy in the health care system to accomplish cost-effective care by coordination of health care services.
  • Primary care promotes effective communication with patients and encourages the role of the patients as a partner in health care.

In this way, naturopathic doctors are responsible for a wide array of knowledge, since they are expected to treat people of all ages, both genders, and with any variety of injuries and health complications.

I am trained and qualified to treat your entire family using the most natural approaches possible to help your family attain and maintain optimal health. I am currently accepting new patients to act as their Primary Care Physician (PCP).
